Love Unrehearsed (Love, #2) - Tina Reber Review originally posted here: http://thebookpushers.com/2013/01/25/review-love-unrehearsed-by-tina-reber/

When I picked up the first in the Love series by Reber, I was immediately drawn into the characters. While I thought the first book was a little long winded and in need of some editing, but the characters themselves drew me into their story and I wanted to know where they would end up, how their story would end.

When we left Ryan and Taryn, they had finally gotten past all their relationship woes and were committed to one another. Now that they are engaged and trying to move on with their lives, Ryan’s career (along with his publicist, manager and paparazzi) threaten to tear them apart. But Ryan and Taryn are committed to making it work, even if life together is what neither of them expected.

I was a bit surprised that this book was made to be a series. The first book ended with a happy ever after, so the fact that we are back for more drama and angst with Ryan and Taryn is a bit too much, especially after all the trials and tribulations they had to go through in this story. About halfway in, I almost reached the point where it just became too much for me. The obstacles and hurdles that Ryan and Taryn seem to continue to come across were never ending. I just wanted them to have their happily ever after without all the BS and drama.

That being said, I did enjoy that the issues dealt with in this book were different from the first. While they still both have lingering feelings of jealousy, and struggle with how to handle that, most of this book is dealt with the paparazzi and influence of the media within their relationship. There were times I wanted to smack Ryan upside the head. He was so wishy-washy in keeping his relationship with Taryn secret in the media, and I could feel the hurt that Taryn felt at being kept his “dirty little secret.”

I’m glad to see that the story between Taryn and Ryan is over. While I enjoyed both books, I do think they could have been condensed into one book. I have to say though, I loved the way the book ended and thought it was a wonderful conclusion to the story. I am also excited to see what Reber has in store for Mike and Marie!

All in all I enjoyed this story. I always like stories that deal with celebrities, as I think the extra dynamics of stardom add a little something special to the romance. Ryan and Taryn are no exception. If you like a lot of angst and drama with your romance, be sure to pick up these books and enjoy!
I give Love Unrehearsed a B-
